DALT VILA WORLD HERITAGE




On 14th december 1999, UNESCO declared The old city of Ibiza as a WORLD HERITAGE.














This is one of the most famous view of the Old part of Ibiza, called "Dalt Vila".








La Thanks to the Posidonia (marine plant) the sea of Ibiza has a special blue tone. The meadows of this marine plant were also declared on the WORLD HERITAGE SITE of Ibiza.







Thirteen cities are World Heritage in Spain, Ibiza is one of them. And the rest are:



Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), Avila, Caceres, Cordoba, Ibiza, Merida (Badajoz), Salamanca, La Laguna (Tenerife), Santiago de Compostela, Segovia, Tarragona & Toledo.
