FULL MOON IN SANT LLORENÇ / SAN LORENZO (BALAFI)

Allways the full moon comes on the night of Holy Thursday to Good Friday. In this ocation I was already in Sant Llorenç de Balafia. So the white church is decorated in these pictures with the magic moon light.

The Settlement of Balafi or Balafia, is located on the "Municipal" area of Sant Joan de Labritja (Northen Island), in the small village of Sant Llorenç de Balafi. In this settlemen there exists a small number of towers which were used as a refuge from pirate assaults on the Island. The white crosses on them are just a protective item, against negative influences.


This settlement has tipycal Ibizan houses located around a fortress tower, may be is one the most unknow places of Ibiza, but it is also one of the most interesting architectural and historical places on the island.

Very close to this settlement you can find the very small village of Sant Llorenç de Balafi with its small but enchanting and very white church.
