BEACHES OF CONTA, COMPTE OR COMTE

No way I can hide my great appreciation for this place. I´m aware that I repeat with this (albeit with new images) about this place. There are several islets that surround this beach, and in some cases (just few of them) they are reach by swimming, though not the case of the far islet Espartar.

The white sand of the beach contrasts with the green and turquoise blue sea. Any time is good to visit this beach, although in July and August they are a bit crowded. So if you are not too fond of the masses of people, you should avoid going at that time but in winter is simply a joy to go to this place, especially if the day is sunny.

From this beach we can enjoy beautiful sunsets, due it´s located at the west side of the Island. From here also we can see the distant and small archipelago of islands called "Bledes" (chard). So, this beach is surrounded by many of the most popular islets of Ibiza.

For those who don´t enjoy much the fine sand, there are also some rocky areas. When there are waves into this beach when the western wind blows is also a nice place to visit, so the waves gives an extra amount of beauty to the landscape. In summer also is a great place to practice snorkeling or for swimming.

very near there is also a small cove called Raco d'en Xic, is naturist place and there are beautiful views towards the islet of s´Espartar.

Another of the "large" islets that can be seen from the beach is the "illa des bosc" (forest island) and this one it´s accessible by swimming. I never get tired to visit this site and to walk the surroundings in winter, it´s really a privilege enjoy these spectacular sceneries.

TWILIGHT IN CALA CONTA

Time of summer nostalgia, the days are getting shorter and nights are getting longer, damp and cold. The summer already gone away and the happy images of crowded beachs have remained with these crowdless images, but beautiful. This twilight dusk invites us to the meditation which always is also nice. In the first picture we can see the silhouette of the island S'espartar and the second one with an golden image of the island of el bosque (the forest).

I must say that I hate the graffittis, but i must admit that there are some of them that improve things. In a side of the wall of little houses shipyards, there has been replaced a vulgar and ugly wall of blocks, in the whole work of art of a graffitti. This goddess who has been admired queen during the last summer in this point, prepares herself to hibernate untill next summer comes and I hope that she will still there then. At the moment she takes the stars as a roof, tha sand is her floor, and the western wind as her walls. But anyways it seems that she doesn´t care at all. Angie tell me, where you will be now?

SA FIGUERA BORDA

Sa figuera borda is the name of a bush and also is the name of this such especial place at the Ibiza coast. It´s like a big cave where it´s opened at the east and the west side. Looking to the east we can enjoy a big hill infront of us, and at the west the magnificent rock of s´espartar island.

Taking advantage of this "cave" the former fishermen installed here some fishermen's sheds, some of them looking in the eastern part as we see below and others as above look directly at the island that is located in the west side.

In both side sheds have a very simple access to the sea, maybe to arrive here is not so simple and let's have to do it for stairs slightly difficult to find and of going down

This is also a good place to have a bath, may be the access to the sea is a bit complicate. Some boats like to anchorage around this place.
Also there exists some walk paths but it´s not recommended for people who have no experience.

This is a beautiful place to see nice sunsets.

THE BLUE CALA CONTA

The island is called (espartar), is just infront of the wonderful beach of Cala Conta. The bue of the sea is awesome and specially in a blue sky days.

The cave of the picture down, belongs to figera borda very near of the beach and is surrounded of little houses for the boats (varaderos).



At the far end we can see the "illes bledes" archipielago. and even very near of the coast the blue colour is very nice too.

CALA COMPTE - CALA CONTA BEACH

The summer will be back very soon. And it´s now the right moment to enjoy these group of small beaches at the west of the Island. This colour of the sea, is unique in this island so I dare to say that this is the most Caribbean beach of Ibiza. The colour of the sea (due to the Posidonea) is awesome, and not only that, another thing is the little islands that surrounds this place. The reason to visit now is because in summer is a bit crowed and the quiteness of winter is another reason to enjoy this place.

The small archipielago of the Bledes Islands are located at the west side and at the north you´ll see the Illa des Bosc (The forest island). If the weather permits so, you can reach it swiming. But you have to be carefull because in this waters very often are very strong Ocean surface currents.

At the west side you can see the impressive illa d´Espart, the biggest island around.

Wonderfull sunsents from there every afternoon.
